Avon Lake Public Library seeks a self-motivated individual to oversee,
manage and administer the Library's information and telecommunications
systems, assuring the highest level of customer satisfaction for both
patrons and staff.


*Essential job functions*

·         Administer and maintain the Library's hardware and software, and
its local area network.

·         Administer the Library's telephone system; troubleshoot problems.

·         Oversee and coordinate maintenance of the Library's Web site.

·         Direct, manage and schedule technology staff.

·         Recommend Technology department budget; monitor expenses.

·         Serve as primary liaison with external technology-related vendors,
providers and consultants.

·         Assure quality service and safety for internal and external
customers; resolve complaints.

·         Serve as a member of the Management Team, participating in the
development of operational strategy, policy and procedures.  Perform
in-charge duties, when scheduled.

·         Participate in the orientation and training of staff as related to
technology.





Position:                                 *Technology Manager*

Grade:                                     26  (Non-bargaining – Exempt)

Salary range:                         $42,600 - $53,000
