     We have gone through a LOT of headphones as well. I am getting ready to order and have decided to try the
  Cyber Acoustics ACM-500 ($9.99) They "look" a great deal like a pair that I had when I was in high school (1970s)
  & I still have them. Granted I probably took better care of them than our patrons will but they are pretty ruggedly
  built.
