[OPLINTECH] digitizing or duplicating microfilm?

Hello colleagues,

We have a situation which resulted in the question:
How can we [relatively] cost-effectively and easily
duplicate our microfilmed copies of the local newspaper,
to answer specific genealogy and local-history questions?

The current process of manually pulling it up on the
reader/printer just isn't working for us. Inevitably, the
article/picture we want to capture is too big for the size
we can print, and we have all these awkward maneuvers
trying to make it work.

Ideally, we'd like to digitize the collection and make it
available on CD or other media.

Failing that, can someone suggest a way to duplicate
individual microfilms, now that the Ohio Historical Society
who used to provide this service for us, is no longer
in the business of filming papers for libraries and
providing copies to places that want their own?

Throwing the topic out for any and all brainstorming
suggestions, with grateful thanks in advance ~
