[OPLINTECH] Desktop/Software Virtualzation

We have been investigating and testing Citrix Provisioning for Desktops.
It is not VDI. Basically you have a single or a few virtual images and
the workstation boots PXE to the image and loads it on the workstations.
The benefit of this is you only have to change the one image to update
all of your systems. With VDI you have multiple virtual machines and
licensing is much more expensive. I believe that Cleveland Public
Schools is using this technology. Check out the video at

I know it says Ardence but Citrix bought the technology a year or two
ago.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Desktop/Software Virtualzation

Hello,

Is anyone out there using desktop virtualization technologies? We are
already doing so for server virtualization, but I'm beginning
investigations into virtualization technologies for desktop use. Does
anyone have experience with this?

Thanks much,
