[OPLINTECH] Recycling Toner Cartridges

We stock 20-25 different kinds of toner cartridges for the various
printers (about 40) we have throughout the building. The empties tend to
accumulate until a small mountain starts to form and then we try to
figure out what to do with them.

 

Some companies will take empties, but they also want us to buy from
them. Mailing them back can be more trouble than it's worth, especially
when dealing with a pile of them. Most places that take 'donations' are
looking for the small, personal-size cartridges. 

 

I'd be interested in hearing how different libraries handle this.
