All,

I just wanted to give you a heads up as to the timeline of the
release of the new OPLIN mail server. Ubuntu is the server flavor of
choice at the OPLIN office, and currently Zimbra OSE only supports
Ubuntu 10.04 in a beta non-production fashion. During simulated stress
tests of our development server, we were able to reliably produce
instability in the daemons.

While we wanted to get the new service out as quickly as possible, the
first priority is to deliver a package that's as reliable as the current
mail service has been for years.

At present we're exploring the Network Edition of Zimbra, which has a
cost but seems to be about a version ahead of the OSE, and also keeping
a close eye on the release date for OSE 6.0.9, which is currently slated
for January, and should provide full Ubuntu 10 support.

To help hold everyone over while we work on the new system, I've raised
everyone's email quotas so that you don't get warnings until 90Mb, with
a hard cap at 100Mb.
