[OPLINTECH] Sonicwall experiences?

I've used/configured a Sonicwall firewall appliance before and found it to
be a very capable device with plenty of add-on features, if you choose to
pay extra for them. I found the config interface to be clean,
well-organized, and easy to use. The thing I liked least about it was the
fact that, on top of the library's initial purchase, the library would have
had to pay extra for the add-ons (possibly on an annual
subscription-basis...but not certain on that one.)

I'd been using IPCop for my clients long before I had the opportunity to
support the Sonicwall. Between the two, I'd still choose IPCop. It does
everything I need it to do...for free...with a few extras tossed in for
good measure. That being said, I'm certain I could match the IPCop features
with a Sonicwall appliance...for a small fortune.

Sonicwall has had a very good reputation for a long time, as far as I'm
aware.

HTH,
Chad
