[OPLINTECH] Faronics Deep Freeze and Surface Pro 3 tablets

Bob, make sure you're using the latest version of DF. A Win8x issue with
shut down sounds familiar, but should be resolved with the later versions
of DF. Something to do with Win8x on tablets not actually shutting down,
but hibernating instead. DF gets around the issue by disabling the
hibernate and forcing Win8x to actually power down.

That's all birds-eye view from memory. Actual facts may be some variation
on that, but the recommendation is still the same:  Double-check to make
sure you're on a later version of DF that supports Win8x.
