[OPLINTECH] Digital Faxing

What Eric describes is basically what we did. I had wanted to switch to something where the staff would scan items into a/their computer and use an online service to send the faxes, but of the services I looked at, all of the interfaces were too clunky for sending. (ie, too many steps that too many people would have had trouble with, most of the inexpensive ones seemed to be designed around receiving faxes..)

I should mention, I was looking at this at least 3, possibly 4 or 5 years ago, so somebody may have come up with something better in the interim…

Best of luck.

Joe

Hi Corey,

At the very least, as a buying-time-to-plan option, you might consider keeping and porting those existing FAX lines to your new (presumed) VoIP service. This would allow you to keep your existing equipment and procedures connecting them via what is known as an (ATA) analog to voip adaptor.

This gives you one more option to consider.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Digital Faxing

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone out there has any experience with using digital/cloud faxing services. We're looking to get rid of all of our POT lines in the building, which puts us in a rough spot as far as faxing is concerned. While I wish we could just do away with faxing altogether, we still have a number of patrons that rely on us for the service. I know there are a number of applications and websites online that offer this sort of service, but I'm having some trouble figuring out which one would best serve our needs.
We'll need to fax from four different locations, so we may need four different numbers, if that changes anything.

Thank you in advance for any help!
