[OPLINTECH] Scanner for patron use

Robin,

This depends on the equipment available. Older Ricoh/Gestetner/??(I can't
remember the other sister company) has some know issues with sending
encrypted passwords. This means using gmail, outlook.com, or any other
modern system is nearly impossible. Make sure you choose a device that can
send SSL encrypted passwords or use an "old" email account that will accept
plain text passwords. The brand new ricoh MFC devices we have are fine, but
Ricohs just a few years old have issues. In my consulting days, I had
better luck with Sharp, Canon, and Xerox. Scan to USB has been a great
feature that is used a lot as well.

Thanks,
Chris Krumnow
