On Tuesday, March 28, the US House of Representatives approved S.J.Res
34, which had already been approved by the Senate on March 23, and
sent it to the President for signature. This bill has received wide
attention in the media because it allows internet service providers
(ISPs) to sell browsing data and information about mobile app usage
that they have collected. (For an impartial discussion of this bill,
see https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/115-2017/h202.)

Please be assured that passage of this bill does not change anything
in regard to the internet service provided to you and your library
patrons by OPLIN. OPLIN does not collect internet browsing data, nor
data regarding app usage on mobile devices.
