them full control of the CDRW. It’s pretty simple to setup, but the
computers still need to be in a workgroup and run IE.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

Microsoft Shared Computer Security tool (XP beta) but like DeepFreeze it
restores the computer on reboot so it may not be what you’re looking for.
The gotcha here is that you need a real partition on your hard drive so you
have to either repartition or start from scratch with a partition that is 10%
of your drive capacity to create the restore image.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

apologize. We would like to make CD writers available on Public
computers. Our concern is making them available without compromising
computer security. I don't want to give the public account access to the
C drive if I don't have to. Currently, we have Windows 2000 and we are
using Active directory settings to button down on what the public has access
to. The new computers will be running Windows XP. If anyone out
there has implemented this, how did you go about doing so?<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
