We use Thunderbird as our email client and a Barracuda Networks Spam
Firewall 300 for spam. It has worked fairly well for us. <font
color="#000000">Since March of 05 it has received 170,058 messages,
blocked </font><font color="#000000">97,265 for spam, and </font><font
color="#000000">6,784 for viruses. We have had a couple instances of
it blocking newsletters staff had subscribed to. We were able to go
into the log release the messages and white list the sender. We still
use Trend Scanmail on our mail server for extra virus protection which
has proven worthwhile a couple times when viruses came in between
updates. Most users don't find it necessary to use the junk mail
controls within thunderbird with the Barracuda running.<br>

I'm curious to know what other library's are using and might recommend for
e-mail programs. We currently use the basic IE Outlook Express and Outlook
but are having a lot of issues with SPAM. Do you have a third party
software program that works great on filtering?
