<P><B><FONT FACE="Arial">ATM Network Outage: January 5, 2006</FONT></B>
</P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">The OIT network had a failure on a core ATM switch at approximately 4:00pm on January 5, 2006. OIT engineers replaced the processor module that they received earlier in the day from Cisco Technical Support. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">OIT engineers rebooted the same core ATM switch at approximately 5:30pm on January 5, 2005 to resolve an ATM issue. The network and ATM switch appear to be stable after the reboot.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Arial">OIT engineers are continuing to work with Cisco's Technical Assistance Center. </FONT>
