I am interested in hearing from other small libraries the solutions they have come up with to deter the theft of dvds. We have recently had the theft of 8 dvds from our shelves. The dvd is removed from the case and the empty case put back. Our dvd area is located behind the circ. desk and is blocked from entering any other part of the library. We try to watch the area but there are times when this area is out of our sight. We have thought about moving them - setting up a video camera or if you have any suggestions on what has worked for you please email me off the list.
