I'm replying to the list so everyone else can see what you told me
about the USB devices, etc.<br>

Is it possible the 8211 event id is occurring because you were in Safe
Mode at the time? This might actually not be related to your core
problem.<br>
<br>
You mentioned Experts Exchange. You might try posting the same question
there if you haven't already. You'll get a wider audience, at least!<br>
<br>
Someone else mentioned reading the core dump, I think. That might lead
you to the driver that is failing and give you a place to look.<br>

Thanks for your response. I've been through every Google hit, Microsoft
support page and Experts Exchange. Nothing quite fits. Most are 0x7b, pre
SP1 or other things. Windows crashes with any USB flash and USB External
HD. I've removed all USB devices and it still crash on reboot.
The one event id that seems strange is 8211 VSS. What would volume
shadowing have to do with a USB device.

If you Google for "Bad_Pool_Header" you'll find a number of hits. It
seems to be driver related as Josh mentioned. Note any recent changes to
your system.
Might try removing all USB devices and reboot to see if the problem
recurs. If not, add your devices back one at a time. The problem has
been associated with U-Storage software. Might check to see if that's
installed.
Anything in the Windows Event logs to give you a clue?
