The Delaware County District Library has an immediate opening for a Technology Specialist. This employee reports to the Deputy Director and is responsible for maintaining the Library's computer systems, which currently include 108 staff and public workstations, 3 networked buildings with public wireless access, and 5 servers. <br>DCDL places a high value on friendly customer service, and the successful candidate will demonstrate a strong focus not just on secure, stable computing but on making sure our workstations and networks are configured to meet community demands. Applicants should have some familiarity with securing computers for public use, a willingness to explore creative solutions to common problems, and strong communication skills.<br>
<br>The coming year will be exciting and challenging, with major upgrades to existing technology and the construction of a new library branch. We expect to replace 25% of the old computers, migrate to an Active Directory network architecture, and implement automated public computing sign-up.<br>
