The difference between Firefox ESR and Firefox is Firefox ESR is geared more towards Enterprise, Academic, and larger installations.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The ESR of Firefox will be supported for 1 year and will receive security and critical fixes only. So instead of being forced to upgrade from Firefox 9 to 10, etc…You will receive minor incremental updates IE: 10.0.1, 10.0.2, etc….this means you can stay on the same version or release of Firefox for a longer period of time while still receiving security updates. This will allow you a better chance to test things before deploying major upgrades (Which can be important if your using extensions like Public Fox)<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Firefox ESR Policy can be found here <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="https://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise/Firefox/ExtendedSupport:Proposal">https://wiki.mozilla.org/Enterprise/Firefox/ExtendedSupport:Proposal</a><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Firefox ESR installers/binaries can be found here<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><a href="http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all.html">http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all.html</a><o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>just wanted to spread the info.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Sincerely<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Ron Woods<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Computer Services Manager<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>St. Clairsville Public Library<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p></div></body></html>
