Chad (Level9 Network) configured our IPcop Firewall with Update
Accelerator.<br>

It caches updates for MS, Linux, Adobe, Apple, Symantec, Avast,
Trend Micro, etc. locally.<br>
Currently has 5.1GB<br>
Usually close to 50GB but I was bored last week and purged it down
to what was used in last 3 months.<br>
We probably won't miss any windows 95, 98, etc. updates.<br>

Takes a large load off the external network.<br>

On a new Win7 install WSUS offline picks up 48 of 60 updates.
You download it, build the update file, and run it from a thumb drive or I copy it to c:/

Wellston had slowness most of the day also.
It seemed to perk up in the afternoon, but in downloading M$ patches, I did
think it slowed way down.
I attribute mine to some type of network appliance sending out garbage,
possibly soon to be ringing a death knell. I'm just trying to figure out
what it could be.
