the reason why DP is the only name in the game, is there isn’t a “huge” need for it. We dropped DF a few years ago and just opted to lock down the PC’s via GPO’s. We block anything from being executed, restrict the all drives minus T:, and created a T: VHD
that loads on startup. Every morning the T: drive gets wiped since it’s not persistent.

even any budding open source projects, which surprises me. I think Faronics has a patent on the technology, which may be why I've never seen a product that works in a similar way. And yet, now here's Drive Vaccine. I wonder what their angle is and how they
don't run afoul of Faronics' patents. (I could be completely wrong about the patents and what they're for. I've not really looked into it...just saw some references to it once not too long ago and figured that explained the lack of competition in this space.)<o:p></o:p></p>
