<div dir="ltr"><div>We've done several such surveys at several of our libraries to evaluate the environment and optimize coverage. But we just do it ourselves using freely available tools. It's been several years since we last did a full survey, but I seem to recall we used NetSpot as one of our more comprehensive tools. (<a href="https://www.netspotapp.com">https://www.netspotapp.com</a>) It's not difficult at all to do on your own, if you kind of understand WiFi and/or have a network administrator on-staff. So depending on your need and perhaps who/how much you're trying to impress with fancy graphics and technobabble, you might just take an hour or two to play around and see if you can't just accomplish what you want for pennies (verses thousands).</div><div><br></div><div>For our own purposes, we're rarely trying to impress anyone. We just wanted a way to ensure that we were optimizing access point placement and coverage, minimizing outside interference, and finding the nooks and crannies that needed supplemental coverage. Using some of the readily-available tools gave us an easy way to visualize the coverage strength all over the library and surrounding areas.
