<div dir="ltr">For quite a few years now, we've been using a product line called OpenMesh. They were designed for hotels and we found them to be an absolute perfect fit for our libraries: Low price and only the exact features we needed...no paying for bells and whistles that might be useful to a large company, but useless to small/medium sized libraries. They were pretty perfect for us...so naturally, the company was bought out, absorbed by a larger company, and the product line was discontinued in favor of the new company's existing bloatware. *sigh*<div><br></div><div>After looking around at our options, we liked what we saw in Ubiquiti Unifi and we're just starting to develop a solution around the same type of white saucers you mentioned. They're still a bit more featureful than we need, but reasonably/manageably so and not nearly as much as others. Also, they don't require a subscription, which I try to avoid whenever possible for my libraries. One and done.</div><div>Too early to really make a recommendation, but so far so good... Maybe no change is good, in your case? <p>We installed 3 Ubiquiti Unifi white saucers (sorry, I don't know the technical term) more than 5 years ago in order to offer wifi to our public. We have 2 for the staff wifi (password protected, one in the basement and the other on the main floor as it's an old building with thick walls and concrete floors) and 1 for the public (on the main floor).</p>
<p>They are starting to have issues with signal consistency, and we have decided to look into our options. Any suggestions for suppliers, installers, and products are welcome!</p>
