<html><body><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000"><div style="color:#000;font-weight:normal;font-style:normal;text-decoration:none;font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size:12pt;"><div style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 12pt; color: #000000"><div>Hello all,<br></div><div><br></div><div>As of January 1, 2014, OPLIN will no longer do any work to allow Website Kits to render in legacy versions of Internet Explorer 6, 7 or 8. Sites such as YouTube and Facebook long ago announced that they were dropping support for these versions; we are now following suit. Also, it should be noted that, as of April 2014, Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows XP...which means that there will be virtually no libraries using IE 8 (since that was the last version of IE available for XP).<br></div><div><br></div><div> For the vast majority of Website Kit libraries, this will have no noticeable effect. For a very few (older) sites, this means that OPLIN will no longer be addressing support requests if a library's site will not render properly in one of these (very) old versions.<br></div><div><br></div><div>So, what this might mean:<br></div><div><ul><li>Absolutely nothing, especially if you're a newer Website Kit (March 2013 or later)<br></li><li>If your site currently contains code to allow it to render in any of these legacy Internet Explorer versions, it will not be removed at this time. However, we will no longer be making adjustments if future issues occur in these versions of IE. Also, over the next year we will be working with many of you to move your sites up to the newer version of the Drupal content management that runs them. The new system will not include support for these older versions of IE.<br></li></ul><div>Please don't hesitate to ask if you have questions.
