<b><a href="https://library.ohio.gov/ctro/">Choose to Read Ohio</a></b> (CTRO) offers free readers’ toolkits with activities and discussion questions for every book on the CTRO booklists (155 books so far!). They are fantastic for book-based programming and
book discussion groups. The toolkits can also be printed and inserted into library copies of CTRO books: when your patrons check out a CTRO book, they will also get an author bio, discussion questions and extension projects, and links for exploring themes

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt">CTRO spotlights Ohio authors and illustrators and promotes reading across Ohio. CTRO is a collaboration among the State Library of Ohio, the Ohioana Library, and the Ohio Center for the Book, and is guided
by an <a href="https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/library-programs-development/ctro/choose-to-read-ohio-credits/">
Advisory Council</a> of librarians, educators, and other advocates for reading and readers. From 2009 through 2023, a booklist of 20 representative titles for all ages has been selected every 2 years, with the input of dozens of Ohio librarians, educators,
and others invested in readers and reading. <b>The CTRO Advisory Council is pleased to share that beginning in 2025, CTRO will shift from a biennial to an annual booklist. We are excited for the opportunity to spotlight twice as many Ohio authors and books
in the future!</b></span><b><o:p></o:p></b></p>
