 State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce <a href="mailto:khite@library.ohio.gov">
Katy Hite</a> recently joined our staff as Library Consultant for Adult Services. Katy is responsible for the development of, and support for, statewide initiatives that serve library staff working with adults, specifically marginalized populations, senior
 citizens, and others. Katy will have additional duties involving providing strategic planning services and serving as an LSTA grant reviewer. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif"> <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">“We are thrilled to have Katy join the State Library’s team of library consultants,” expressed Evan T. Struble, Associate State Librarian for Library Development. “She’s
 hit the ground running, learning more about national initiatives centered around adult services in libraries, and brainstorming ways in which we might bring those programs to Ohio. I can’t wait for the Ohio library community to meet with her and work with
 her.”   <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">  <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">Katy comes to us from Delaware County District Library, where she served as an Assistant Branch Manager for over four years. Prior to that, she served as an Emerging
 Technology Librarian at the Upper Arlington Public Library, Adult Services Librarian at Worthington Libraries, and Reference/Instruction & Distance Learning Librarian at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Katy is a two-time ILEAD USA alumni, having been a part
 of the ILEAD Illinois cohort in 2013 and ILEAD Ohio in 2019. She is active in the Ohio Library Council, specifically the Digital & Media Services Division, and was that division’s Chair in 2021. Throughout her career, Katy has spearheaded programming with
 a focus on adults, including work with the Alzheimer’s Association centered around compassionate caregiving for seniors, as well as digital equity issues adults of all ages may face.  <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Century Gothic",sans-serif">Katy holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University (River Forest, IL) and majored in both Theater and English to earn a Bachelor of Arts
 from The Ohio State University in the Theater Department in the College of Arts and Sciences (formerly College of the Arts). <o:p></o:p></span></p>
