Good morning -

Last week I caught a session at Internet Librarian about METRO's Culture in
Transit project, which seems to have a lot of parallels with things we'd
like to do in Ohio. I asked that I be notified when their toolkit was
launched, and here it is!

Good morning!

We thought you’d like to know that the Culture in Transit Toolkit
<http://www.metro.org/cit-toolkit> has been launched (
www.metro.org/cit-toolkit), the culmination of our 18 month project funded
by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, News Challenge on Libraries.
You can read the formal announcement here
<http://metro.org/articles/new-toolkit-from-culture-in-transit/>.

The Toolkit mirrors our main areas of work; there is a section devoted to
community engagement and digitization events, a section dedicated to
working with small cultural heritage institutions to digitize archival
collections and a section on equipment - the link that united our project
together to enable us to undertake different forms of digitization work but
with the same mobile digitization workstations.

With the launch of the Toolkit, we are excited to share the information and
experiences we have amassed over the course of the project into a helpful,
user-friendly tool, that we are confident will enable others to undertake
such work.

We'd love to hear your feedback, comments or any questions you might have
regarding the Toolkit. Please feel free to reply to this email or contact
us at cultureintransit at metro.org.

Best Wishes,
Caroline
