[DPLAsteering] DPLA survey November 16, 2015 draft

As part of the Ohio DPLA Planning project, in October, 2015 we conducted a
survey of Ohio's cultural heritage organizations.  We received 219
responses, of which 128 respondents had digital collections and another 30
plan to create or acquire digital collections in the next three years.  The
remaining respondents were exited from the survey.  This level of response
provides an excellent foundation for decision making for the Ohio DPLA
project including the ability to create lists of organizations that are
ready to be harvested, what metadata schema are used, and organizations that
will be partners 3-5 years down the road.  Tom and I have already provided
lists to several of the working groups so that they can begin their work.

 

Please review the report, focusing primarily on the key
findings/recommendations and the data analysis.  We will want to briefly
discuss the report at our meeting on Friday November 20.  We welcome
comments on grammar, etc please  emailed them to Tom and myself.
