St Marys Community Public Library has a Marketing Specialist  position open
due to an upcoming retirement.  

38 hrs per week; some evenings and weekends required 

 

14 paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave; Ohio Public Employees Retirement
System; health insurance; option to participate in Ohio Deferred
Compensation; paid OLC membership. 

Qualifications: Associates degree and a minimum of two (2) years of
marketing experience including prior digital marketing experience.  Ability
to travel in the community, and attend remote meetings and training.

Media relations/outreach and writing skills are a MUST. Knowledge of social
media and emerging technologies including digital formats; Proficiency in a
wide variety of software applications 

Duties include but are not limited to the following: 

*	Develop and implement a marketing plan
*	Ability to interpret community interests and needs and aid in
planning appropriate library services and programs.
*	Think creatively.
*	Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the
effectiveness of different styles and strategies.
*	Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts
customers.
*	Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks and meet deadlines.
*	Speak effectively in public.
*	Communicate clearly and effectively in written form.
*	Excellent social media, computer, and information technology skills.
*	Be comfortable with website content entry/editing.
*	Present a positive, professional image to the public. 
*	Interact and respond appropriately to patrons and staff.
*	Develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor
and co-workers.
*	Work well without supervision. 
*	Maintain confidentiality
