Register by Tuesday, October 4, to attend the Society of Ohio Archivists' fall symposium: Sustainability: Business Planning for Cultural Heritage Institutions. Speakers include Liz Bishoff, former Vice President, OCLC Digital Collection Services and Executive Director of the Colorado Digitization Program. She co-authored Business Planning for Cultural Heritage Institutions with Nancy Allen, published in 2004 by the Council on Library and Information Resources.

Many projects begin with a great idea and some grant funding. However, even the most successful projects have trouble determining how to continue once grant funding ends. In order to sustain these valuable efforts, librarians, museums, archives and historical societies need to plan for sustainability at the beginning of projects. Further details and registration information are available on the SOA website at: http://www.ohioarchivists.org/workshop/index.html

The symposium will be held from 9:30-3:30 on Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at OCLC in Dublin, Ohio. Attendees must register by October 4, 2005. Once registered, you can submit payment onsite. Register online at: http://www.ohioarchivists.org/workshop/register.html
