[SOA] SOA Continuing Education Scholarship

The Society of Ohio Archivists is pleased to offer its second 
Continuing Education Scholarship for attendance at the Society of Ohio 
Archivists/Midwest Archives Conference Joint Conference, May 3-5, 
2007. Proceeds from last year’s Silent Auction are being used to 
provide this opportunity for an SOA member to attend the conference. 
The scholarship will be $150 cash to defray travel costs. 

Eligibility for the Continuing Education Scholarship is open to all 
current SOA members who live more than 50 miles from the conference 
site. Applications will be rated based on:

*	Applicant’s written statement of how conference will benefit 
them professionally
*	Applicant’s scholarship and contribution to archives, in 
comparison with his/her number of years in the field
*	Applicant’s level of financial support for attending the 
conference from his/her employer

Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on April 13, 2007. The awardee is 
expected to attend 2 days of the conference and will be recognized at 
the Thursday SOA Business Meeting. In addition, the winner will write 
a column in the Ohio Archivist describing their experience at the
