Subject: May is National Preservation Month!-How Are You Celebrating?
May is National Preservation Month! Celebrate your commitment to
protecting our region's cultural and artistic treasures by taking advantage
of some of the many services the ICA offers:
* Schedule an appointment to visit on Free Consultation Day. You'll
have thirty free minutes with a conservator to examine one piece of your
choice, and you'll learn what treatment options, if any, we recommend.
* Bring in a piece for conservation and custom matting/framing or
mounting.
* Contact our Field Services staff to obtain telephone, email, or
in-person consultation services on a range of topics including collections
care, storage, disaster response, and grant writing.
* Place a treasured possession into state-of-the-art temperature and
humidity controlled storage.
* Apply for our second annual subsidized collection survey. Details
and application form are available here:

* Browse our website to learn about all the other services we can
provide to you. And while you are there, consider becoming a member of the
ICA. It's a wonderful way to support our mission while also entitling
yourself to great member benefits like discounts on conservation services.
Founded in 1952, the Intermuseum Conservation Association (ICA) is the
nation's oldest not-for-profit regional fine art conservation
center. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the ICA serves the general public and a
broad membership of arts and cultural institutions, non-profit
organizations, government agencies, and corporate and private
collectors. The center provides a range of conservation and preservation
treatments for materials including paintings, murals, works on paper such
as photographs and books, objects of all media, outdoor sculpture,
monuments, and textiles. The organization received its 501(c)(3) status in
1954, and remains the only non-profit art conservation treatment and
education facility in the lower Midwest.
