Dear SOA Members, 
Council recently voted to fund the registration fees for two SOA members to attend the 2009 Statehood Day, an advocacy event to help celebrate the importance of Ohio history. Statehood Day is a fitting occasion to connect Ohio's history and preservation community to the state's history and to state legislators. Help make sure your state legislators understand that History Works for Ohio and in your local community by having your voice heard at the Ohio Statehouse! To be eligbible, you must be a current SOA member and be able to attend Statehood Day on March 3, 2009. Winners will be selected at random. To apply, send you name, institutional affilition, e-mail and phone number to me at aoneal at ohiohistory.org Entries must be received by noon on February 23, 2009. Winners will be announced on February 24th.
