Kent State University, the Ohio Historical Society and the Ohio
Humanities Council are collecting data about internships at libraries,
archives, museums, and local historical organizations as part of an IMLS
planning grant. The purpose of the planning grant is to create and test
a framework statewide internship program for students in history, public
history, library science or other related fields. The partners are
collecting data from students (graduate and undergraduate), recent
grads, staff at libraries and archives, staff at museums and local
historical organizations, and faculty at colleges and universities.
Please take 5-10 minutes to fill out the Building Connections survey.
This survey will help the planning committee to put together a pilot
program for finding, training, and placing interns that will be to the
mutual benefit of the students, the hosting organization, and the
academic institution.
Please pass this survey on to others that may have input.
