Dear archivists that WANT INTERNS!

 

We need your help.  Kent State University's School of Library and
Information Science, the Ohio Historical Society, and the Ohio
Humanities Council are collecting data about internships at local
historical organizations, libraries, archives, and museums as part of an
IMLS planning grant. 

 

The purpose of the planning grant is to create and test a framework for
a statewide internship program for students in history, public history,
library science and other related fields.  The partners are collecting
data from staff at libraries and archives, volunteers and staff at local
historical organizations and museums, students (graduate and
undergraduate), recent grads, and faculty at Ohio colleges and
universities.

 

Please take 5-10 minutes to fill out the Building Connections survey.
This survey will help the planning committee to put together a pilot
program for finding, training, and placing interns that will be to the
mutual benefit of the students, the hosting organization, and the
academic institution.  

 

Please pass this survey on to others that may have input.
