[SOA] "Continuing issues" concept - something with potential

Folks,
It was my good fortune at this year's SAA et al. meeting to hear a 
presentation by Vermont State Archivist Greg Sanford. about his "continuing 
issues" approach to giving value to the archives. In his case it is public 
archives but it can also be used by many other types of repositories. I 
urge you to read the short article by him in the Sept./Oct. 2010 issue of 
Archival Outlook -- "The Value of Archives," p. 6+.

Then check out the Vermont Web site http://vermont-archives.org/ and look 
up "continuing issues" under Gov't. History as well as look up the 
"spotlight on records" choice to the right side to get an inkling of the 
concept's application there. Then begin thinking of how you might apply the 
concept in shops in Ohio.
