On Friday May 11th, you're invited to the 2012 TEDSIG Spring Workshop at OhioNET!

We will host three sessions on "technical and cataloging skills." A total of six speakers will talk about professional development, training, new technical skills, effective workflows, technical specifications, metadata requirements, cataloging digital objects, batch-loading MARC records, electronic resources, scripting language, and more!

ALAO's Technical, Electronic and Digital Services Interest Group (TEDSIG) is soliciting nominations for TEDSIG Co-Chair.  Co-Chairs serve for two years with one rotating on and one rotating off each year.  TEDSIG Co-Chairs are ALAO Board members.

Along with leading TEDSIG, Co-Chair responsibilities include:
* attending the board retreat on July 16-17, 2012 at Deer Creek Lodge and Conference Center
* attending four board meetings  (these can be rotated with your Co-Chair)
* attending the annual conference
* soliciting nominations for the annual TEDDY award
* planning the spring workshop
* selecting a TEDSIG sponsored program for the annual conference

Current Co-Chairs are Elias Tzoc  and Jennifer Bazeley of Miami University.  Elias will be rotating off as TEDSIG Co-Chair; Jennifer will continue on as Co-Chair until June 2013; and we need to select Elias' successor.
