*Requirements:* The
Barberton Public Library is seeking a dynamic, creative, and motivated
individual who will provide strong public library services to our
community, with an emphasis on local history and genealogy. Under
direction, the Reference Librarian (full-time) will provide services to
library customers, including reference, readers’ advisory, and programming.
Responsibilities will include general reference duties as well coordinating
the management and promotion of the Local History Room, including
presenting well-researched programs and articles, collection development,
coordinating archival and digitization projects, and giving tours of the
Local History Room. The Librarian will work in multiple computer software
applications including SirsiDynix Symphony, PastPerfect, Photoshop, Word,
Access, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Library Science from an American Library
Association accredited university is required. Experience in a public
library, archive, or museum setting is preferred.
