Please join us for the "NAAB Bootcamp" a new 3-session webinar series presented by the Canadian Council of Archives (CCA), in partnership with the National Archival Appraisal Board (NAAB)

NAAB appraisers provide a professional opinion of value for various reasons.  The NAAB Bootcamp has been designed specifically for highly motivated people seeking:  to learn more about monetary appraisal;  to help institutions acquire donations of cultural property as gifts in kind; and to work effectively with donors.
Please join us, from the comfort of your own office or boardroom, to learn the essentials of monetary appraisal .  This webinar series offers a combination of theory, practical skills and tools shared by an experienced NAAB appraiser.  You will also take an active part in an exercise using appraisal examples.
Four offerings of NAAB Bootcamps have been scheduled for Fall 2013.  Each Bootcamp consists of three (3) sessions.   Topics include: Legal and fiscal context of appraisal, Appraisal Assumptions, Values and Fair Market Value of Archival Documents,  Methodology, Media and Technology, Relationships to Archival Appraisal, Cultural Property Appraisal Guidelines, Preparation before an Appraisal , Appraisal Reports, Development of Archives Policy and Procedures for Monetary Appraisal, and an Appraisal Examples/Exercise.  (Please note, session content may be subject to minor adjustments)

Note:

*         Registration is for ONE (1)  individual to participate in ONE (1) Bootcamp which consists of 3 (three) consecutive/weekly 90-minute webinars.

*         To participate, registrants will require access to both a telephone and a computer with internet connection.

*         Additional reading will be required, plus some course work to support this learning opportunity.

*         In order to provide registrants with the most effective and interactive experience, registration is limited in each Bootcamp.

Maximize your training dollars!  Available Extras*:
After the first individual registration is paid, additional registrations are only $135 per person attending the same Bootcamp (that's only $45 per 90-minute webinar!),  in the same room (includes all three webinars)  and requires sharing the same (one) telephone and internet access point.  For each additional registrant beyond 2, you may chose to add a separate computer and/or telephone access point.  A fee of $20 is payable for each extra computer access point and $20 is payable for each extra telephone access point. Early bird discount does not apply to Extras.
