For folks in the greater Cincinnati area, if your organization is not a member of Museums & Historic Sites of Cincinnati, this a great opportunity to find out what the organization is about, the kinds of activities we engage in to promote visiting and use of these great regional resources, and a great way to meet your fellow preservation and cultural docent cohort.  Meeting starts at 10 am at the Lloyd Library and Museum, 917 Plum Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

Hello everyone!

 

Happy New Year! Please join us for our first meeting of 2014 at 10:00 on Monday, January 13 at the Lloyd Library and Museum. We will hear from Deb Brod, one of the artists who participated in the Lloyd's Wounded Home exhibit, about how she used the library's collection to inspire artwork. Anna Heran, the Lloyd's exhibit curator, will talk about the variety of grants she and the artists acquired to help support the exhibit. If you're looking for ways to collaborate with people who may use your collections in non-traditional ways, don't miss this meeting!

 

We would like to treat this meeting like a membership event so please invite people you know who may want to become MHS members this year. Also feel free to forward this email to anyone you think may be interested. And if you could let me know if you're bringing extra people, that would be great.

 

MHS business will include a preview of the new website, which is going to be a big improvement over what we currently have!
