Please join the Ohio Digitization Interest Group in Cincy for its 10th anniversary meeting!
 
There will be FOUR tours over three days: one on Monday 7/6 (the afternoon before the meeting), two on Tuesday 7/7 (the day of the meeting), and one on Wednesday 7/8 (the morning after).

TUESDAY, JULY 7, 2015. 10th Anniversary Meeting!
Program: Field Trip: "All Things Digitization @ the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County"
Speakers: 
- Katrina Marshall, manager, Digital Services, Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County.
- Stephanie Bricking, metadata librarian, Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County.
Staff at the PLCHC recently completed a large migration of content from a home-grown content management system into CONTENTdm. Speakers will discuss why CONTENTdm was selected as their new digital collections management system, the new workflows that have been implemented due to this change, and what challenges they have encountered during the migration process.

- 10:00-10:30 coffee social (coffee & cookies);
- 10:30-11:30 presentation and discussion on topic;
- 11:30-11:45 break;
- 11:45-1:00 brown bag lunch: all-attendee updates, "members" meeting, discussion (the Vertigo Cafe is in the building);
- 1:15-... optional: small group discussions (user groups, birds of a feather)
- 1:15-2:45 optional: tours (see tours below) 

NOTE on the tour registration--rather than asking folks to choose 1st & 2nd choices as I've been doing, please just go ahead and pick the tours you want. If they are full you will automatically go on a wait list, and I will notify you of that.

MONDAY TOUR 1 - The Preservation Lab
Monday, July 6, 2:00-3:30pm (limit of 50 people) The Preservation Lab, Langsam Library, University of Cincinnati, 2911 Woodside Dr, Cincinnati (approx. 2.5 miles from PLCHC)

Speakers: Holly Prochaska, head of Preservation Services and Lab; Ashleigh Schieszer, conservator; Nathan Tallman, digital content strategist and assistant librarian for digital collections and repositories, University of Cincinnati Libraries; Eira Tansy, digital archivist/records manager, University of Cincinnati Libraries; and more!
About: Will consist of several stations where people can rotate to view photodoc, cradles/enclosures, transporting objects-exhibits, special collections, humidification flattening, and digital forensics. 

TUESDAY TOURS 2a/b & 3a/b - PLCHC
Tuesday, July 7, 1:15-2:00pm OR 2:00-2:45pm (limit of 20 people each tour) Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County (same building as the talk) 2a & 3a. Digitization Lab Tour: Will include demonstrations of various equipment used in the new lab, as well as a short discussion on the equipment and why it was chosen.
2b & 3b. Cincinnati Room Tour: Includes a brief "tour" of the Cincinnati Panorama of 1848 and will allow visitors time to explore the Room's current baseball exhibit. The Joseph S. Stern, Jr. Cincinnati Room, adjacent to the Genealogy and Local History Department, displays local history artifacts and provides a climate controlled and secure environment for using the Library's rare and fragile materials. 

WEDNESDAY TOUR 4 - SceneSavers
Wednesday, July 8, 10am
