Please join us at the next Ohio Digitization Interest Group meeting.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, 2015.
Program: "Project Management for Digitization"
Speaker: Laurie Gemmill Arp, director, Digital & Preservation Services, LYRASIS.
Talk: The talk will provide an overview of project management for digitization projects. We will look at project management throughout the process focusing on: managing the process, concentrating on best practices, execution, and evaluation. Will also include time for discussion of lessons learned from the attendees.

Site: Meeting will be held at the Columbus Metro, NEW Whitehall Branch, 4445 E. Broad St, Columbus. Tours will be of both the New building, and Old building (temporary location of the Local History & Genealogy library).

TOURS - 2 locations:
- Whitehall is the second of the 10 new buildings CML plans to open in the next five years. The newest library in the CML system, Whitehall is a model for the 21st century library with extensive children's areas (including a recording studio for teens), multiple meeting rooms, and quiet spaces. - Local History & Genealogy is temporarily located in the Old Whitehall branch building (two doors down from the new Whitehall branch) while Main Library is under construction. The building is a full-service research library. The tour will include an introduction to the collection, the digitization lab, microfilm area, and closed stacks.
