Missy's duties include oversight of the consultant program and the federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) in Ohio, She was the program administrator for the Connecting to Collections initiative and is currently on the administrative team for the Ohio Digital Network, Ohio's DPLA Service Hub. Missy will be sharing information on LSTA grant opportunities available through the State Library for digitization and conservation projects.

Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board: Dan Noonan, OHRAB chair, assistant professor/digital resources archivist at the Ohio State University Libraries. Noonan builds relationships across the OSU campus to connect stakeholders with the University Archives in regards to the management and preservation of university records and digital objects. He has chaired the Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board (OHRAB) the past two years, and will shortly be ending his 9-year tenure on the Board. Today, in his role with OHRAB, he will be addressing what owners of a grant program and grant reviewers are looking for in a good grant proposal. http://www.ohrab.org/grants/regrant/

Ohio Historical Records Advisory Board: Meghan Hays, OHRAB grant awardee; local history librarian at Shaker Heights Public Library, Shaker Heights. SHPL is a past OHRAB awardee, with Hays as project manager for Digital Preservation of Shaker Heights Architectural Records and Creation of an Online Database https://shakerlibrary.org/local-history/research/homes/buildings/

Ohio History Fund: Andy Verhoff, coordinator Ohio History Fund Grant/Local History Services, Ohio History Connection. In a variety of roles over two decades, Andy has collaborated with and led local historians of many backgrounds in all 88 counties in Ohio. Andy has two main responsibilities: 1) managing the Ohio History Fund grant program and 2) working with applicants to fact-check and edit texts of Ohio Historical Markers. As of February, the OHF has made 53 grants in 32 counties totaling $522,000. In Andy's work with the Ohio Historical Markers program, it has erected more than 270 markers. Andy will describe the History Fund grant program of the Ohio History Connection: what does the History Fund fund, how big are the grants, and how does one apply. He'll focus on grants for digitization projects and enlist your help to maintain support for the History Fund in 2017.

Ohio Humanities: David Merkowitz, assistant director of Ohio Humanities. Dan manages the major and media grantlines. He will discuss how an organization can apply for support for digitization from Ohio Humanities in the context of a larger public-facing project (online exhibit or documentary video/audio piece).
