[SOA] SAA List going away

I have elected not to subscibe to the big list for the last 5 years or so and am not sorry to see it go.  Its sheer size compounded some problems with it. Many of the discussions did not pertain to my work and were time wasters for me. The College and University section list and the Visual Materials section list have kept me well informed and provide smaller discussion groups; the chairs of the Visual Materials Section have made a point of posting relevant information culled from other lists and from SAA that are sometimes general in nature.  A generalist can benefit from a number of lists such as C & U, Lone Arrangers, Description, etc., and you might be surprised to find that you have interests in common with them.  Try a few and see which best serves your needs. You can elect to receive in digest form, which makes fewer intrusions on your day and allows a quick skim of the topics.
