Hello Friend of Ohio History
The IRS and Ohio Department of Taxation are now accepting tax returns, until April 17. That means tax refunds, too, and you can use yours to support Ohio history. Consider donating a part of your Ohio income tax refund to the Ohio History Fund<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=4f92dfb11a&e=baef517f22> (average donation, $9).

Demand for grants is even greater. The program has received 295 requests, totaling $3.6 million. The more the Ohio History Fund receives in tax check-off donations now, the more grant it makes next year.

Act now: 90% of the money the Ohio History Fund grants is from Ohio History Fund tax check-off. Most of that comes in between now and the filing deadline of April 17. The Ohio History Fund tax check-off is at line 26d of your Ohio income tax return<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=21af8a65fc&e=baef517f22>.

Not expecting an Ohio income tax refund? You can still help. When your vehicle registration comes due, renew by buying a set of Ohio History “mastodon” license plates<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=5b36746fb2&e=baef517f22>. Twenty dollars of the fee supports the Ohio History Fund. Or, consider a gift to the Ohio History Connection<https://ohiohistory.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=37ce5c8c24208a588c681edc5&id=289d93418d&e=baef517f22>, designated to the “Ohio History Fund.”
