Kentucky Council on Archives Spring 2019 Meeting: Call for Proposals
The Kentucky Council on Archives (KCA) seeks proposals for its spring 2019 meeting to be held May 16 at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, KY.
The board invites session proposals centered on the theme "Open Bar."  Although Kentucky has long been known as the birthplace of America's only native spirit, proposals are encouraged to draw on two key features of a typical open bar: the assumption of celebration and the opportunity to select what you want.
Have you completed an exciting project or exhibit? Found a creative way to promote a hidden collection? Successfully partnered with others on a community program? Or improved a workflow?  Other topics to consider may include:

  *   Innovative collaboration with allied professions such as museum curators, librarians, artists, advocacy groups, etc.
  *   Successful methods or tools for managing ongoing projects
  *   Acquisition of significant or unique collections or increased access to hidden collections
  *   Successful workflows or tools for preserving born-digital materials
  *   Resources and advice for writing grants or other development
  *   Useful systems or standards in digital collections
  *   Creative programming or outreach initiatives
Proposals will be evaluated on clarity and a developed understanding of your topic's relevance. Membership is not required to submit a proposal or attend the meeting.
