Schedule

A variety of activities will take place via Zoom prior to the conference dates of August 6 and 7, including:

  *   CoSA and SAA governance activities (Board and Council meetings, SAA Section meetings, and appointed group meetings) (FREE!)
  *   Demystifying Data Analysis Workshop (presented by the Committee on Research, Data, and Assessment on August 3; additional fee of $49)
  *   Master Class Storytelling Workshop (presented by the Committee on Public Awareness with Micaela Blei on August 3; additional fee of $49)
  *   The 14th Annual SAA Research Forum on August 5 (Free to conference registrants)
On August 6 and 7:

  *   Plenary 1 featuring keynote speaker Tempestt Hazel of Chicago’s Sixty Inches From Center
  *   Plenary 2 featuring Dr. Meredith Evans’s Presidential Address
  *   12 General Education Sessions
  *   The Diversity Committee Forum

After August 7:

Conference registrants will have access to 60 education sessions that are being pre-recorded and will be posted to the conference website.

Your registration fees offset our actual virtual meeting technology costs and help to support other important year-round activities, like advocacy, periodicals, and low-cost online courses.

SAA Foundation Travel Award

The Society of American Archivists Foundation Board voted unanimously to transform the SAAF Travel Award to a registration award program that will support up to 122 individuals’ attendance at the 2020 conference.  Only current SAA members are eligible for this award. The primary criterion for selection will be financial need.
