[SOA] Extension to May 1 for Image Submissions for Ohio Archives Month Poster

With all libraries, archives, and museums closed in compliance with the
Governor's orders to help stop the spread of COVID-19, the deadline for
submitting images for this year's Ohio Archives Month poster will be
extended from the original March 27 deadline. We realize that with the
craziness of the past few weeks, it's likely been the furthest from
anyone's minds, but we hope that we may still be able to keep with the
longstanding Archives Month poster tradition.

Extension of the "Shelter in Place" order end date may necessitate a later
extension, but for now, the new submission deadline is *Friday, May 1.*

Details are below:
This year's theme for the annual Society of Ohio Archivists’ October
Archives Month poster is the centennial commemoration of the ratification
of the 19th Amendment, which guaranteed and protected women’s
constitutional right to vote.  We invite you to submit photographs,
documents, or other graphical materials from your institution to be
featured on the poster that connect the stories of local women and
supportive men who fought for the right to vote, and continued the fight
for ALL women after the passage of the amendment. This is your chance to
highlight interesting and thought-provoking items from your collections
connected to the Suffrage Centennial.

If interested in participating, please submit your images to Melissa Dalton
at mdalton at co.greene.oh.us by Friday, May 1, 2020. Institutions can submit
a maximum of 3 images. Please ensure that the image quality is a minimum of
300 dpi, higher quality is encouraged. With your submission, please include
a description of the image that explains its importance AND a brief one
sentence caption that can be used on the poster if the image is selected.

SOA members will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite entry in
May and early June. Entrants do not need to be members to submit images.
