The Collections Care & Conservation Alliance is pleased to announce our next online workshop:

The Art of Deaccessioning: tools and resources

December 9, 2021

2:00pm - 3:30pm

Presented by CCCA Professional Affiliate Member Matt Powers, Executive Director of the Woodstock History Center

Permanently disposing of collections can be a daunting and complex process. This online webinar will cover best practices and strategies related to the practice of deaccessioning in small institutions. Participants will receive guidelines and resources that will help facilitate a process that will benefit their organization as well as maintain all legal and ethical obligations.

Pre-registration is required and a Zoom link for the meeting will be sent to you closer to the meeting date. Space in the workshop is limited to 100 participants. Please register by Monday, December 6th.

If you can't make it to the live event, you can still register for the workshop and we will send you the recording once it becomes available.

We will follow up this event with a virtual Conversation with Colleagues on December 16th at 12:00pm, for those who wish to dive into the deaccessioning discussion in more depth. All those who register for the deaccessioning webinar, including Professional Affiliate members, Emerging Professionals and Students, Friends, or those curious about membership, are invited to attend.

The cost of the virtual workshop is as follows:

  * free for CCCA Emerging Professional and Student Members
  * $10 for CCCA Professional Affiliate Members and Friends
  * $15 for all others who wish to attend
