Libraries, located in Oxford, Ohio, is accepting applications for the role
of Preservation Librarian, to be hired at the Assistant or Associate
Librarian-level. This is a full-time permanent position, with a possibility
for remote work on a hybrid basis. The salary range for the position is
$58,000-$63,000.

continuing contract and promotion requirements of the Libraries Appointment

*Job Summary:* Miami University Libraries seeks a Preservation Librarian
for the Steward & Sustain department. Reporting to the Head of the Steward
& Sustain department, to provide leadership in planning and managing the
preservation/conservation program for special collections, general library
collections, and institutional archives; be responsible for a broad range
of conservation and preservation activities including conservation
assessment and treatment; exhibition, loan and digitization preservation;
disaster planning and response; environmental monitoring; and emergency
planning. Working closely with colleagues throughout Miami University
Library, will provide outreach to Library staff concerning Library
collections, practices, and preservation measures, and will ensure the
smooth integration and timely completion of preservation and conservation
activities. Miami University recognizes that technology enables us to find
new ways of providing first class service and workplace flexibility. This
position is approved for remote work on a hybrid basis. Remote work is a
working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at
any time for any reason.
