Emerging Museum Professionals: Facilitating Meaningful Communication
Connect with Emerging Museum Professionals (EMP) from across the state in this open dialogue between institutions and EMPs. Discussion will focus on several topics that act as barriers or concerns to full integration of EMPs into the museum field: intergenerational communication, state of the field, the shifting economy, and organizing efforts.
This workshop will hone in on strategies EMPs can use to effectively communicate and connect with institutional leadership and help them emerge as confident and effective professionals. Participants will also learn how to get involved with their local chapters (or start their own).
